What are the classifications of hot melt adhesive for book binding?
1. In order to ensure the binding speed of books, different types of hot melt adhesives should be selected according to different machine speeds.
There are three types of hot melt adhesives according to the binding speed:
Low-speed glue binding hot melt adhesive (about 3600 copies/hour), the opening time of the low-speed machine is 15-20 seconds
Medium speed glue binding hot melt adhesive (about 8000 copies/hour), medium speed machine is 5 to 10 seconds
High-speed perfect binding hot melt adhesive (about 10,000 copies/hour), high-speed machine 2 to 7 seconds
2. According to paper classification, it can be divided into hot melt adhesive for coated paper and general paper.
When using different types of paper, the corresponding hot melt adhesive should be used, because the surface finish, permeability and thermal conductivity of the paper are different.
3. According to the use of glue binding, it is divided into side glue and back glue. The Book Binding Hot Melt Adhesive used for side glue has good fluidity, low viscosity, long opening time and curing time, and high bonding strength. The side glue of the book needs to be thin and uniform, and the bonding is firm, so as to ensure the quality and cutting requirements of the book. The two glues cannot be used wrongly.
